There are venues that are beautiful, and then there are venues that stop you in your tracks. Ivy Manor Temecula is absolutely the latter. And not just because of the scale. Everything is unique, and somehow it all works together.
Sitting on 18 acres in Temecula’s wine country, this eclectic private estate wedding venue is unlike anything else in Southern California. You might know it by its former name, The Humphrey’s Estate, which has been a beloved part of the Temecula Valley for years. Under current ownership since 2023, it has been reimagined as Ivy Manor Temecula while keeping most of the features that made it special in the first place.

This property has to be experienced to be fully appreciated. There is the rose garden. The hedge maze. A life-size chessboard that doubles as an outdoor dance. floor. Brick pathways winding past stone pillars and ivy-covered walls. Tucked-away garden nooks that feel like they were tailor-made for portraits. A pool. Multiple water features. And inside the mansion, a corner cabinet in the dining room holds a Lego replica of the hedge maze, which tells you everything you need to know about the kind of details this property leans into. Just when you think you have seen it all, you turn a corner and find something else.
Ivy Manor delivers on character and visual variety in a way that few properties can. It opens for a limited number of dates per year for exclusive use, so your celebration gets the estate’s full attention.
This walkthrough video feature from Staycation gives you a feel for just how expansive and gorgeous the property really is. Check it out!
The mansion anchors the front of the property. Outside, it is covered almost entirely in ivy, which is fitting given the name. Inside the 7,600-square-foot residence, every room has its own personality. Artwork, rugs, tile work, mirrors, a piano. It’s the kind of home where you keep noticing things every time you enter a room.
There is a dedicated bridal suite with hair and makeup stations for getting ready. The dining room, kitchen, and common spaces are just as beautiful as anything outside.
The mansion is also where the overnight accommodations live. The eight-bedroom residence sleeps up to 20 guests. The pools and jacuzzis give the morning after somewhere to land. Think rehearsal dinner on the grounds Friday night, waking up on property Saturday, celebrating all night, and recovering poolside on Sunday. That kind of full-weekend experience is rare. Ivy Manor is perfect for it.

This is the part that stops people. The rose garden. The hedge maze. Brick pathways winding past stone pillars and ivy-covered walls. Tucked-away garden nooks that feel like they were made for portraits. The pools. Every turn reveals something new. A couple could spend an entire afternoon wandering the property and never run out of backdrops. For photography especially, the possibilities are pretty much endless.

The ceremony field is a gorgeous space on the property. The natural beauty of the estate does most of the work. The reception space centers around the chessboard courtyard, which also serves as the dance floor. It is expansive and framed by gardens and greenery on three sides.
The ballroom building sits as the backdrop to the courtyard. For couples who don’t want to worry about the 10:00 PM outdoor noise ordinance, it is available as a paid add-on for extended indoor celebrations. No music or instrument restrictions here, full live bands are welcome!

The estate can comfortably host a large celebration. But it is equally well-suited for smaller ones. The gardens and hidden corners of the property create an intimate feel regardless of guest count. The weekend-stay format makes it a natural fit for elopements and micro-weddings where the whole experience is the point, not just the ceremony itself.
A venue with this much personality deserves stationery that rises to meet it. Your invitation suite is the first glimpse guests get of the day. For a property as distinctive as Ivy Manor, that first impression is worth getting right.
One of my favorite things about a venue like this is how much design inspiration it offers. Some of it is obvious: a custom venue illustration on the invitation or a detail card is a natural fit for a property this visually striking. But some of it is more subtle, and that is where it gets really fun. A checkerboard bellyband is a quiet nod to the life-size chessboard on the grounds. Most guests will not fully understand it until they arrive, and suddenly it all clicks. A rose motif, a brick-red ink color, an ivy-inspired border: the details of the estate can weave through your paper goods in ways that feel cohesive and intentional without being on the nose.
If you are considering your own Ivy Manor wedding, I would love to help you design something that draws from the venue itself. Let’s chat about what we can create for you.

IIvy Manor is a great fit for couples who:
Because Ivy Manor opens for a limited number of dates per year, availability goes quickly. Additional guest minimums may also apply during peak season, so it is worth asking about both when you reach out.
Parking on the property is limited, and a parking attendant is on site for all events. Events with 65 or more guests require a valet (provided by the venue). The road to Ivy Manor is unpaved and at times, one lane. Cell service isn’t great, and GPS can be unreliable. A shuttle service for guests is recommended and absolutely worth considering.
The estate is animal-friendly (up to three dogs allowed on site, indoors and outdoors, with an additional deposit). Due to allergies, cats are not permitted. Ivy Manor has also hosted horses, and even a mini-cow, so if you’re thinking of incorporating animals into your event, you’re in luck! Unique animals are considered on a case-by-case basis, and a dedicated handler is required.
